Debbie has always had some kind of
painting project going on. From oil painting to watercolors to
ceramics. She finally found herself in hobby ceramics where she spent
the next 15 years learning everything she could about pouring molds, firing
greenware in her kiln, teaching classes at a studio and her home, and
becoming a certified teacher with one of the biggest ceramic companies in
the country. She has been a Duncan Certified Teacher for 13 years and
has taken over 35 Duncan classes ranging from learning about new products to
brush-strokes and techniques along with various other company's classes.
She is also a member of The Society of Decorative Painters. Her love of decorative painting is what
makes her "Painted Bottles" special.
We hope you enjoy her one-of-a-kind
bottles as much as she enjoyed creating them.
A special thank
you goes to my Duncan Ambassador, teacher, and dear friend, Audrey Jones and to my
friend and teacher, Bill Lynch. Unfortunately, Bill was killed in a car
accident by a drunk driver over 10 years ago, but his teachings go on for
those of us who were lucky enough to know him as a friend and as a fine
teacher. Without these 2 people in my life, my artwork would never
have reached the level it has. I thank both of them for everything
they taught me.
